Moreton Bay Theatre Company is thrilled to announce Backwards Broadway Jr. — a junior version of our signature cabaret.
Incorporating an intensive, 5-day Rehearsal Week during the September school holidays, weekly rehearsals during Term 4 and performances in November — running concurrently with Backwards Broadway.
After two successful seasons in 2018 and 2019, Moreton Bay Theatre Company is currently in rehearsals for its 2020 season of Backwards Broadway. While proven a popular concept, it generally catered to older performers. For the first time, we are thrilled to produce Backwards Broadway Jr. — dedicated to our rising stars.
Backwards Broadway Jr. will be directed by the co-founder of Backwards Broadway, Matthew Bapty — and youth show director and writer, Julia Cox. They are joined by Emma Venzke (“The Flint Street Nativity’, ‘The Things I Could Never Tell Steven’) and Emily Delchau (‘Backwards Broadway 2019’, ‘The Best of British’) as Musical Director and Choreographer, respectively.
